Offering & Prayer

As we go to prayer this morning take a moment to stop and listen to your heart. What weighs heavy on it? Who weighs heavy on it? Breathe deep, and listen to the guidance of God's Spirit, alive in you. Open your prayer with this, and then pray for what comes up in your heart:

"God of mercy and healing,
you who hear the cries of those in need,
receive these petitions of your people
that all who are troubled
may know peace, comfort, and courage."

Then finish your prayer with:

"Life-giving God,
heal our lives,
that we may acknowledge your wonderful deeds
and offer you thanks from generation to generation
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen."
